Join fellow makers in exciting knit-along (KAL) and crochet-along (CAL) events. Explore our gallery of past projects, check out upcoming events, and get ready to create something amazing!

What is a "Make Along"?

A Make-Along event is a social event where a group of knitters and/or crocheters all make the same project at the same time!

Some are based off of a specific pattern, specific yarn, or general type of project. During the event we host in person and virtual stitching times for you to work on your project with other MAL participants.

If you finish your MAL project by the end of the event, you're eligible to win fabulous prizes! Subscribe to our newsletter to get updates about new MAL events.

Knit or Knot MAL

Join us for our second annual Knit or Knot Make-Along! Choose to knit the Forest Waffle Pullover (Sarah Goff) or crochet the Weekend Waffle Sweater (Brianna Mason). Kickoff is Saturday, January 24 at 2:30 PM CT, and we’ll stitch together across 8 weeks, finishing with a waffle-themed wrap party on Saturday, March 21st - just in time for International Waffle Day!

Kits available to order starting on December 26th. In store pickup/shipping will start on January 13th.

It’s awesome. Seriously — 8 weeks of creativity, community, and cozy fun. We host a lot of events at Warm & Wooly, but our MAL events are our favorite.

Support & encouragement. Never made a sweater before? No problem! You’ll be stitching alongside 40+ other makers, sharing progress, asking questions, and cheering each other on.

Waffles. Yes, waffles. Our wrap party includes a waffle bar (and out-of-state participants get a waffle kit to join in the fun at home!). We are partnering with Faxon Farms & Sunrise Flour Mill for local, high quality waffles and syrup!!

Special guests & prizes. Meet designers, get insider tips, and enter raffles for yarny goodies when you finish your project. Grand prizes sponsored by Amano Yarns, Eucalan, and Warm & Wooly!

Amano Riti

A wooly wonder, Riti is spun from soft, warm Merino wool from Patagonia. The pleasing twist gives this plied, worsted weight yarn a light, lofty hand. Wonderful for garments, Riti is a non-superwash yarn that holds shape beautifully & wears well.

The yarn is available in a complimentary palette of mélange heathers & hand-dyed delights. Riti blooms beautifully after blocking & has lovely stitch definition.

When choosing patterns for this MAL, we intentionally chose patterns that had a similar texture and construction. Whether you knit or crochet, you'll be making a beautiful waffle sweater!

Both designers will be joining us via zoom during one of our MAL meetups. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about the pattern or anything else you'd love to know about the designers!

Order your kit
Purchase any other supplies you need to make your waffle sweater
After purchasing a kit, you will receive an email with Zoom links for virtual events, the MAL Facebook group, and all the other details!
Do a gauge swatch when you receive your kit
Join us for kickoff on January 24th!

Kits Include:

Amano Riti - you will receive the appropriate # of skeins for the size you select based off the yardage requirements in each pattern
Printed pattern - if you'd like us to add the pattern to your Ravelry library, please include your Ravelry username at checkout
Custom MAL project bag
Eucalan wool wash sample
Waffle stitch marker
For out of state participants: waffle mix and maple syrup so you can join us for our waffle party!

Kits available for pickup or shipping starting January 13.
Shipped kits will include a $5 flat rate shipping fee.
