Drop Spindle 101

Drop Spindle 101---THIS CLASS IS INCLUDED IN THE SUMMER CLASS PASS!  CLASS KIT (IF REQUIRED) IS PAID SEPARATELY.

Dates:  Thursday, July 30th - 1:30-4:30pm or
               Saturday, August 22nd - 1:30-4:30pm

Learn how to make your own yarn with our Drop Spindle 101 class!

MAX 4 STUDENTS!! This class will fill up quickly, don't wait!

What you will learn:

• The basics of spindle spinning, including:
  • fiber characteristics
  • types of spindles
  • spinning singles
  • plying your singles
  • and finishing your yarn

Materials List

• High Whorl Drop spindle
  • Needs to be a suspended spindle, no supported spindles
• 1oz OR 30g of Corriedale roving 

Cost Options:

• Summer Class Pass Holders:  Class tuition is included with your Pass.  Class Kit is purchased separately and is not included in your Summer Class Pass.
• Non-Pass Holder: $30 (bring your own supplies, see list above, or purchase a class kit separately)
