Saturdays, July 11th and August 1st 
10am-Noon (2 Sessions)

Class level:  Advanced Beginner

Create a vibrant, eye-catching cowl while discovering the art of mosaic colorwork and mastering the mattress stitch. With beautiful color-changing yarn, every project becomes uniquely your own—but even in simple solid-color yarns, this cowl is absolutely stunning. The design possibilities are endless.

You will learn:
  • Mosaic colorwork techniques
  • Increase using K-F/B and K-F/B/F
  • Joining a new color of yarn
  • Mattress stitch used to seam your cowl

You will need to know how to:

  • Knit/ Purl
  • K2tog
  • Cast on/Bind off

Materials Needed:

  • Pattern (The Shift by Andrea Mowry - available on Ravelry or at the shop)
  • 3 different balls of Edition 3 or 3 colors of sport weight yarn, 200 yards each
    • (class sample was knit with Edition 3 colors 2471, 2361, and 2296)
  • Size US 5 (3.75mm) knitting needles
  • scissors
  • row counter
  • stitch markers (at least one locking stitch marker)
  • tapestry needle
