Knitting 301: Two-at-a-Time Socks on Two Circular Needles

Say goodbye to Second Sock Syndrome!  Learn how to knit two socks simultaneously on two circular needles, so both socks grow together and are finished at the same time.

Using Lindsay Shank-Kirchner’s String of Lights pattern, you’ll learn the techniques needed to knit a matching pair of socks two at a time. No more remembering how you made the first sock or finding the motivation to start the second—when you finish one, you finish them both!

Come learn a clever knitting technique that keeps your socks perfectly matched and your second sock off the UFO pile!

You should already be familiar with sock knitting using a heel flap and gusset and Kitchener toe closing.

• What you need to bring to class:
  • String of Lights pattern by Lindsay Shank-Kirchner (Sock Witchery) (available on Ravelry or at the shop)
  • 100 g of fingering weight yarn wound into 2 50 g balls
    • 20 g of a contrast color if you wish to have contrasting heels and toes (wound into 2 10 g balls)
  • US Size 1 (2.25mm) circular needles in 16" and 24" lengths
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers
