Needle Felting 101: Snowman

Learn the art of needle felting while creating your own cheerful 3D snowman! This beginner-friendly class will walk you step-by-step through shaping, layering, and detailing with wool. You’ll learn basic felting techniques, how to build and join shapes, and how to add charming touches like scarves, hats, and carrot noses to make your snowman one of a kind.

What you will learn:

• How to select good fibers for Needle Felting
• Create 3 balls of felted “snow”
• Attach balls to make a snowman
• Accessorize! Add “Coal" eyes, mouth, buttons, as you wish
• Optional – add a hat or scarf (time permitting)
• Selecting felting needles appropriate to the project

Class Supply List: 
All listed supplies are available for purchase at the shop, or you can buy a class kit.

• Felt pad – minimum 4X4 inch
• Felting Needle Medium (36)
• Felting Needle Fine (40)
• Corriedale fiber
  • 2 oz white or light gray for body
  • 1⁄4 oz Black for “Coal”
    
  • Optional: 1⁄2 oz black to make a top hat (time permitting)
