Spinning 101

Saturday, November 15th from 1pm-4pm

Class level: Beginner

Learn the basic principles of the spinning wheel, wool characteristics and preparing them to spin. How create a "single" yarn, learn to make a 2 ply yarn, wind your yarn off on a niddy-noddy and finishing tips.

Materials:

• Spinning wheel in good working order and at least one bobbin for that wheel. Good working order means all parts are in good shape -no missing pieces, and the wheel is balanced.
• Material fee of $15.00 has been added to the class to cover fiber and literature for the class. Additional fiber for at home spinning will be available for purchase after class. 

The "Rent a Wheel" option for this class includes the use of an Ashford Traditional Single Drive OR Ashford Joy Spinning Wheel. One week rental of the wheel is included.
