Spinning 101: Learn to Spin on a Wheel

Sundays, November 8th from 2-4pm or
                  December 6th from 2-4pm

Class level: Beginner

Learn the basic principles of the spinning wheel, how yarn is made, about different types of fiber, etc.  Learn how to create a "single" yarn and to ply that yarn when the single is finished.  

Materials:

• Spinning wheel in good working order and at least one bobbin for that wheel. Good working order means all parts are in good shape -no missing pieces, and the wheel is balanced.
• Fiber will be provided for the class with a $10 fee to the instructor.  Additional fiber for at home spinning will be available for purchase after class. 

The "Rent a Wheel" option for this class includes the use of an Ashford Traditional Single Drive OR Ashford Joy Spinning Wheel.
